Laughing Gas (Nitrous Oxide)
Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is a gentle sedative inhaled through a small mask placed over your nose. It works quickly to ease anxiety and create a sense of relaxation, while keeping you awake and responsive. Once the mask is removed, the effects wear off almost immediately, allowing you to safely drive yourself home after your appointment.
Minimal Oral Sedation
For patients who need a little extra help relaxing, we offer minimal oral sedation. This involves taking a prescribed medication before your appointment to reduce anxiety and create a calm state throughout your treatment. You will remain awake and able to respond, but you may feel drowsy and need someone to drive you home afterward.
