At Waterside Dental we offer a wide range of services that are all done IN OFFICE:

Preventive Oral Hygiene:

Tooth Decay Prevention:

·         During a preventive care visit, our dentist or dental hygienist will examine your teeth for signs of decay.

·         The hygienist, who specializes in the cleaning and maintenance of teeth and gums, will remove any stain, hardened plaque also known as calculus that has accumulated on your teeth

Scaling:

·         This process involves cleaning the crown of the tooth and below the gum line where plaque is often trapped.

·         Our hygienist will polish your teeth after all deposits are removed. Children under 18 years of age will have fluoride applied to their teeth at the end of their visit to keep tooth structure healthy.

·         Your hygienist will explain home care and proper brushing techniques.

Cosmetic Dentistry:

Implants:

·         Restore your smile with Non -surgical Basic Dental Implants that look and feel like your own natural teeth. With implants, replacement teeth are attached to anchors that are placed in the bone, providing support and stability while minimizing bone loss, and improving your biting and chewing functions.

·         Dental implants enhance your smile and ultimately increase your confidence.

Veneers:

·         Achieve a flawless smile with dental veneers. Usually made of porcelain, veneers are thin, tooth-coloured material cemented to your teeth’s front surface.

·         Discoloured, eroded, or chipped teeth can be restored beautifully with veneers.

·         A veneer can also be used to close large gaps between teeth.

Bonding:

·         We can repair chipped or broken teeth by applying a dental composite material that resembles tooth enamel.

·         Once the composite is placed on the tooth, it is sculpted into shape and polished.

Zoom! Whitening:

·         A whiter, brighter beautiful smile that will help you feel better about yourself and make a memorable impression is now possible with Zoom! In-office whitening.

·         Zoom! Whitening is scientifically advanced, safe, effective, and fast procedure.  In just one dental visit your teeth will become dramatically whiter. In-office whitening is an ideal solution for any busy individual looking for immediate results.

General Dentistry:

Fillings:

·         Made of a mixture of glass and acrylic materials, composite restorations have a natural tooth-like appearance and can be used on all teeth.

·         Composite fillings are bonded directly to the tooth structure. The aesthetically pleasing tooth is restored to its original function.

Crowns:

·         Also referred to as a cap, a crown is a full-coverage restoration permanently cemented to the affected tooth structure. It restores the anatomical surfaces of a structurally weakened tooth to their original contour and function.

Bridges:

·         Restore your smile by bridging the gap between missing teeth with a dental prosthesis, also known as a bridge. Used to replace one or more missing teeth in the same arch. It restores cosmetics, provides function and prevents adjacent teeth from shifting.

Inlay/Onlay:

·         These natural-looking alternatives to silver fillings are usually made from porcelain. Inlays and onlays are made in a dental laboratory and used to fill large cavities.

Root Canal:

·         When a tooth becomes infected or badly decayed, one way to save it is by performing a root canal treatment.

·         This procedure involves removing the pulp, or nerve, of the affected tooth and then replacing it with a special filling material. A crown is then placed on the tooth to restore its strength.

All procedures can be viewed on our overhead TV’s with use of our intraoral cameras, which assists in your education and satisfaction. TV’s with DVD videos are available for your viewing while you have your smile perfected in our dental chair.
